Next time you need to shoot in the Brighton area, or south of London, why not use a local crew? With less travel time, it's likely to be much more cost-effective than sending in people from London or beyond.  I've been shooting for broadcast in Sussex since 1989. TV Freelancers TV Freelancers is an online community which aims to raise, discuss and address some of the difficult issues facing freelancers.  Sharing information, increasing the bargaining power of individuals, and removing some of the isolation in which they work are also on the cards.
CameraCrews.com CameraCrews has hundreds of crew members listed.

FaTCaT FaTCaT stands for Film and Television Craft and Technology, and this massive mog is full of film and TV information.
UKscreen UKscreen aims to include a crew directory, video clips and a noticeboard, and is aimed at film-makers, crew and distributors.  My entry.
