| Next time you need to shoot in the Brighton area, or south of London, why not use a local crew? With less travel time, it's likely to be much more cost-effective than sending in people from London or beyond. I've been shooting for broadcast in Sussex since 1989. | Why not check the weather forecast for Brighton? Finding out train times from anywhere in the UK is also quite easy. |
| Here's a rough map of the area in which I'm based, and some local information which might be useful. |

| This
rough map shows the area south of London where I'm based. If you
need to know the distance to a particular location, and approximately how
long it will take to get there, please email
the details.
The BBC and ITV Meridian have offices in Brighton from which footage can be fed. Brighton & Hove is a seaside holiday resort and also a major venue for political and business conferences. It thus has many good hotels, bars and restaurants. |
Some
travelling facts:
The city of Brighton & Hove is less than an hour by train from London Victoria but considerably more by car, depending on the time of day. The nearest international airport is Gatwick, which is about 40 minutes by car or train. Ferries to France leave from Newhaven, Dover and Portsmouth. The Channel Tunnel is less than two hours away. Helicopters and light aircraft operate from Shoreham and Goodwood (near Chichester). |
